Frequently Asked Questions.

What exactly is temporary work?

In temporary staffing, also known as temporary work, a staffing agency provides qualified workers to companies. You can recognize a good temporary staffing agency by the fact that it gives you sufficient information about the client company. The dispatcher should provide you with the address, your contact person, and your job responsibilities, as this is the only way to ensure you are fully prepared for your upcoming assignment at the client company. It’s also common for the company to want to meet you before the assignment begins—this is perfectly normal. It’s best to arrive well-prepared and motivated so that the company can form a positive impression of you right away.

This way, you too can get a sneak peek at what the future holds for you in the workplace. Generally speaking, your individual assignments at the various companies will flow seamlessly into one another. In the rare event that you don’t have an assignment, you won’t be terminated right away.

A discussion will take place to find solutions, allowing both sides to decide how to proceed.

Even during the hiring process, some staffing agencies try to trick applicants, as they often advertise “pseudo-jobs” that don’t actually exist. If an applicant takes the bait—and is perhaps even in a desperate situation, such as unemployment or severe dissatisfaction—this situation is often exploited, and the applicant is lured into signing a contract immediately. The fact that this signature is often for a job for which the applicant is overqualified is due to the aforementioned desperate situation. The applicant is then promised that a higher-quality job will be assigned to them immediately as soon as it becomes available.

This tactic results in the applicant being placed in a lower pay grade, and in the event of a better position, they can expect at most some additional pay. As a result, they find themselves in a pay bracket that fluctuates, since much additional information is deliberately withheld from the applicant—such as the possibility of a layoff, termination, etc.

If the applicant realizes right from the start that they’re being tricked and turns down the job as a result, some dispatchers threaten to contact the unemployment office. This ends up backfiring on the applicant, as they’ll then face a waiting period during which they won’t receive unemployment benefits. However, there are many other tricks in the temp industry that we can’t list all at once but intend to reveal one by one.

Once you finally have an appointment to sign your employment contract, make sure the staffing agency sets aside enough time for it. As a rule, you’ll receive a collective bargaining agreement when working through a staffing agency. Every point in the contract should be explained to you in detail during the meeting—after all, this is an important document. Many of the points are required by law, while others go beyond that and have been drafted individually by the staffing agency. Make sure the latter points, in particular, are documented in detail—in other words, ask for a copy of the contract. Above all, ensure that benefits such as health, pension, long-term care, accident, and unemployment insurance are included and properly regulated.
You should also pay attention to provisions regarding paid vacation, statutory protection against dismissal, and continued wage payments.

We offer a high degree of flexibility. If you’re not yet sure which direction to take—whether it’s the woodworking industry, the metal and electrical sector, or even what career you’d like to pursue in the future—you’ve come to the right place. If you’re unhappy with your current job or industry, we can use our expertise to help you find the right career in the right industry.

The answer is a clear no. By listing the various (temp) agencies, your resume demonstrates that you have experience in different fields, and that is by no means a negative. Another position simply shows that your skills are being fully utilized and applied to their best advantage. After all, sometimes the first company you’re placed with isn’t the right fit for you. In that case, steps are naturally taken to ensure that you’re able to move to a more suitable company.

The pay isn't as bad as its reputation, either. Thanks to industry-specific bonuses and equal pay policies, our temporary workers actually earn more than they would in the same permanent position. You can see this for yourself in our listings.

In the temporary staffing industry, the topic of the minimum wage comes up time and again. It is true that this wage is paid, but it is higher than the going rate in the open market. You shouldn’t let that deter you, however, because there are regular and automatic wage increases mandated by law through collective bargaining agreements. This means it is possible to earn more in temporary staffing than in the private sector. After all, it’s called the MINIMUM wage—there’s no upper limit.

At our company, you start with a salary higher than the minimum wage in most industries, regardless of your qualifications.

We offer a high degree of flexibility. If you’re not quite sure yet which direction to take—whether it’s the woodworking industry, the metal and electrical sector, or even what career you’d like to pursue in the future—you’ve come to the right place. If you’re unhappy with your current job or industry, we can use our expertise to help you find the right career in the right industry.
